I just watched the movie “The Blind Side” which is based on a book written by Michael Lewis. This is a very moving story, and says a lot about the human spirit. This story is something that was needed in the times that we live in. If you have not seen it, you should. What is stopping you?
To the actors of the movie…you moved me. To the high school teachers and Miss Sue…thank you restoring faith in those who teach our children. To Leigh Anne, Sean, Collin, and SJ…God Bless. To Michael…continue to make your “family” proud.
P.S. – I have to say it. “Go State! Maroon! White!” Bet you did not see that coming from a MSU grad.
Well, it has been quite some time since my last post. Despite this fact, I will not promise again that I will post more frequently. I hope to eventually find that fine line between quantity and quality. 😉 Well, I wanted to share my latest escapade with you. This excursion was to a wonderful place called Amelia Island. I will post a a couple of photos to get you started. I will follow up with subsequent posts to this one. Cheers!
Well another outing. Turned out to be great fun. Our trip this time took us to a street festival called “In the Street.” This festival is located in Frederick, Maryland. I would recommend it. However, we had a bad experience with our particular paddle boat but it appeared the other families were enjoying themselves. I have also included some pictures as well. If you want to see the full picture, click the picture once wait for that screen to come up, and then click the picture again. That should display the full picture for you.

I cannot believe they are at it again. I have almost completed a project which I believe was the wrong approach to solving a problem. However, I was given orders. What makes it so bad, is that our main technology person endorsed this. I also complained about the approach not addressing reliability and availability. THEY INDICATED WE WOULD ADDRESS THAT AT LATER. However, when people began to attack and criticize what the PM had not done this person was the first amongst the pack. This project has basically been done with no funding support, no management support, and more importantly I controlled none of the resources. Same old story.
I will have to compose my PM manifesto. We are never appreciated.
I am very disappointed in Apple. Is this an indicator that they feel threatened by the Palm Pre? Read this article.
As most of you know, I am more often an avid Apple supporter. But in this case, I am very disappointed they chose to take this route. It makes you question why all of the iTunes music is DRM if you not allowed to potentially synch it with other media. This is also in the context that I store all my music in iTunes. This is now making me rethink.
