New Year 2006

Sunday, January 1st, 2006

Well, another year has passed and a new year has begun.  Well, happy new year everyone.  I will be trying to do a better job at posting.  The posts might be shorter, but hopefully they will be more regular.

Thanksgiving…What are you thankful for?

Monday, November 21st, 2005

Sounds like an innocent enough question. Here are few things I am thankful for:

  1. God
  2. Family
  3. Health (Any health is good ;))
  4. Shelter
  5. A honest way to provide for my Family
  6. etc.

My list could actually go on and on. What are you most thankful for? Let me hear from you.

Cheers!

Black Friday!!!

Saturday, November 19th, 2005

I have been watching television, and I first got wind of this on the news. Have you heard of “Black Friday?” Black Friday is suppose to be the day after Thanksgiving where the Christmas holiday sales period begins. There are actual sites dedicated to this. All you have to do is Google “Black Friday.” There are potentially some good deals if these rumors are true. However, do not get sucked in by the rebates. Make sure you read the fine print! More importantly…DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE YOU BUY! ;)

Cheers!

Father’s Day

Sunday, June 19th, 2005

Father’s Day is perhaps the one day everyone pays dad any attention. All the other days, he is always just there. Being a dad myself now, I realize how special Dad really is. I mean there are so many things:

  1. Day in and day out, having to go to work when everyone else was sleeping.
  2. Working long hours because the household needs more money to come in to ensure everyone is well taken care of.
  3. After a long day full of stress, trying to spend time with everyone before he fell asleep from exhaustion.
  4. Making us all laugh with his silly dancing! Sheesh! This is still embarrassing. :)
  5. All of the other miscellaneous things dads do (ex. - yard work, teaching about life, etc.).

But more importantly, just being dad. I sure hope my small ones will appreciate me as much as I appreciate my dad. I hope I can come close to providing my children with what my Dad provided me emotionally, financially, and spiritually…

Cheers!

I cannot have all of this for Dad, without saying “Hi Mom!” *Laughs* Just kidding Dad. ;) Today is your day!

Mother’s Day

Sunday, May 8th, 2005

Moms are great. Three small words say so much. On this special day, I want to say thanks to my Mom. With raising the new addition to our family, I get to see first hand what a Mom goes through. Things become crystal-clear as to why my Mom was always so protective of me. I am thankful that I have the most wonderful Mom in the world. Tout le monde, I Love You Mommy! Tout le monde, I Love my Wife too. :) She is the best Mom I know next to my Mom! ;)

To Mothers everywhere, Happy ! We Love You! From: Tout le monde!

Cheers!

New Year

Wednesday, January 5th, 2005

Is the New Year really a new beginning each year? Or is it an opportunity for us to pretend that things will be different this year? I ask these questions because I can tell some things are going to be the same for me despite this being a new year. What things you say?

  1. Work - Same mad people, and same mad headaches will be there.
  2. Some people (Work and Personal) - You will still look at them as if they were cursed with being mentally challenged, and just do not know it. If they know it, then they are ignoring the fact. *Smirk*
  3. Family - Do you really think they are going to change? Every family has those problem member(s). :)
  4. Your sanity - It will be constantly tested by others at work and in your personal life.
  5. Your sanity - It will be constantly tested by others at work and in your personal life.

Do I need to repeat to last two again? ;) *Laughs* Anyway, the list could actually continue on but I figure I had better stop while I am ahead.

The good thing though is that at least from a “New Year” springs optimism. The previous statement is so profound. I can only speak for myself, but I do want to be a better person this year than I was last year. This gives me an opportunity to say, “I will do better this year.”

I hope this year will offer all of you the same opportunity. May blessing from God rain upon you…Amen.

Cheers!
