It did not take long!

Saturday, July 23rd, 2005

Well, it did not take long for my workplace to ruin my time off. Apparently, they cannot understand that I am more useful to them when I am rested and ready to come back. I went from feeling relaxed to stressed out from zero to sixty.

I know we are suppose to work so we can get and provide things for the enjoyment of life. But how can you ever enjoy life if you have to constantly work? I believe this would be called a conundrum. It is one I could do without.

Cheers!

Time Off

Saturday, July 16th, 2005

Well, I am finally on leave. It feels good. It is great to see my parents, and to see them interact with their grandchild. These moments are priceless. This visit also confirmed how much I miss not being able to see my parents more often. Well, since they are both retired now maybe we will see more of them now. ;) *Hint, Hint* *Hypnotic Voice*Travel is what you want to do Mom and Dad. *Hypnotic Voice* *Laughs*

However, it is quite hard to forget about what is happening at work. I believe I still spend more time worrying about things than I should at this point. It is hard being a responsible conscientious person. :) Well, I hope to post some pictures soon.

Luray Caverns1

Luray Caverns2

Luray Caverns3

Wow! We actually took a road trip today! :) It was great. We went to Luray Caverns. The formations were amazing. It was hard to believe that at one time there was an underground sea. The second picture you see above is even more amazing. When you get to this area, the water mirrors a near perfect reflection of what is above. It is hard to tell there is water at the bottom and the formations at the top. The water is shallow also.

While we were there, we also went into the cool maze at the Caverns. The maze was fun, :) even when we got caught in the rain. So, pictures for you to enjoy.

Well, yet another reference that does not have any verbal post! :)

Cheers!

WordPress Team

Friday, May 20th, 2005

The WordPress team does not get enough kudos for the great work they are doing. This is work that they are also doing for free. I deal with software on a daily basis, and I must say their product was easy to install. More importantly, it has been easy to maintain and upgrade. Those things alone say a lot about the product. Also, I monitor the Support Forums. The support that is provided by the regulars there, and the public at large is above par. Did I also mention there are numerous sites providing support? I am glad I discovered WordPress. I believe technology, such as this, brings out the better in human beings. People helping people and sharing a common interest. The human spirit does not get any better than this. Cheers WordPress.

Mother’s Day

Sunday, May 8th, 2005

Moms are great. Three small words say so much. On this special day, I want to say thanks to my Mom. With raising the new addition to our family, I get to see first hand what a Mom goes through. Things become crystal-clear as to why my Mom was always so protective of me. I am thankful that I have the most wonderful Mom in the world. Tout le monde, I Love You Mommy! Tout le monde, I Love my Wife too. :) She is the best Mom I know next to my Mom! ;)

To Mothers everywhere, Happy ! We Love You! From: Tout le monde!

Cheers!

Mother’s Day

Monday Blues on Sunday

Monday, March 14th, 2005

My weekly schedule is usually shaped for me two weeks in advance.  So on Sunday, it is not hard to see all of the problems that Monday will bring.   :(  As a matter of fact, it is not hard to see the issues the week is bringing.  Knowing this week after week, it takes its toll.  Think about it.  How would you feel if you had a job where you are responsible for solving people’s problems day in and day out?  Not only do you solve others’s problems, but you have to deal with your own too.  So, who helps you at work?  Ehhh…how about no one!  For you to get any answers, you have to ask people fifty million freaking times.

Then all of this is compounded by the unspeakable things that happen at work.  Unspeakable in the sense there could be repercussions if spoken of.  *Sigh!*   :(

I also know what you are saying, “You are making yourself worry about tomorrow, and it is not even here yet!”  That would be not true.  It is Monday.   :P  And I cannot help it.

Cheers!

Publishing Conscience! Work Conference…ack!

Sunday, February 6th, 2005

Well, it appears someone in my immediate family is reading my blog. ;)  Well, I had a stroke of conscience from my last posting.   Therefore, I marked that post as being private.  However, I still feel and believe what was happening was wrong.  But life is as life is.

This week, I happen to be at a conference.  It should be interesting.  One of the program areas that I support is going to examine what happened during its last response period.  They will be examining how well or how bad they responded and performed.  I expect to hear the usual computer system bashing that always come from people who use the system in the wrong way.  If the system is suppose to produce oranges only, they want it to produce apples; pineapples; tangerines; peaches; and oranges.  Get my point?  And of course you cannot say to them you are wrong, or your statement is incorrect.  You have to put on your customer service face and think of a politically correct answer.  Oh well…c’est la vie!  I will have to blog about the conference.

Cheers!
