I get the feeling that I am under siege at work. It is so bad that I am no longer sure if I am doing the right thing. I guess that is where Rudyard Kipling’s “If” comes in. Also, prayers to God to keep me and guide me.

Birkenstocks rock!

I wanted to let you in on one of the best kept secrets. I used to see people walking around in these funny looking shoes. Now I know why. The shoes, when broken in, make your feet feel great. They are pleasingly comfortable. I would recommend them to anyone. They are called Birkenstocks.

All I can say is wow. I just happen to stumble across this article at the Washington Post. But make sure you read how it is being used. Not what do you think about that? This is a sad commentary on the stupid things that people do.

Sometimes I wake up and believe that I am in the wrong place and time in regards to my occupation. I believe I need to do some soul searching to determine if I want to continue working where I am. Once my job was rewarding, and I really looked forward to going to work. I once felt really good about what I was doing because I, in my mind, was helping people…once…

Perhaps it is the change that is occurring within the organization that has me like this. I just have to determine how I fit in.

I have been sitting here thinking about how blessed I am. I am blessed in many ways, but the biggest blessing has been the small child that has come into life. I thank God for this blessing. It really puts things into perspective for me. Even more, it makes me question the things that occur around me…especially at work.

God please keep me and lead me through everyday. I want to be around for my child.

Great Wolf Lodge

As promised, here is one of the pictures from the vacation. This is a picture of the Great Wolf Lodge. It was great. The small one had so much fun here that there was a demand to go back to the water, and to the wolf. *Laughs*

Remember this is a resort. It is no different than DisneyWorld, etc. That is a hint for the parents.

Whirlwind week

This has been one of the best weeks in a long time. We spent time at the The Great Wolf Lodge, where indulge in all the activities of the water resort. We also went to the Cole Bros. Circus. Hopefully, my PC will boot up where I can download the pictures we took and get them uploaded.

An Interesting Adventure Begins - Day 3 and 4

Chalk two more days up to the Father, Daddy, Dad, etc. I made it. :) The parental Mother unit has returned. I can say we made it with no casualties. For this tour, there was nothing ole Dad could not handled. It fell good to spend some one on one time with the small one. Go Dads!

Today turned out to be another day where the Father parental unit got to show his resolve. Things went well with the small one went well. Things even went well with the much older offspring. Day 2 is in the books or us dads boyee!
