I just watched the movie “The Blind Side” which is based on a book written by Michael Lewis. This is a very moving story, and says a lot about the human spirit. This story is something that was needed in the times that we live in. If you have not seen it, you should. What is stopping you?

To the actors of the movie…you moved me. To the high school teachers and Miss Sue…thank you restoring faith in those who teach our children. To Leigh Anne, Sean, Collin, and SJ…God Bless. To Michael…continue to make your “family” proud.

P.S. – I have to say it. ”Go State! Maroon! White!” Bet you did not see that coming from a MSU grad. :)

I have been sitting here thinking about how blessed I am. I am blessed in many ways, but the biggest blessing has been the small child that has come into life. I thank God for this blessing. It really puts things into perspective for me. Even more, it makes me question the things that occur around me…especially at work.

God please keep me and lead me through everyday. I want to be around for my child.

Amen

Holding it down for all the daddies in the world. :)

Well, today, I am left to my own devices with the small one. This should turn out to be really interesting. So far so good. The shock that the Mommy unit was missing this morning was not an issue. I just to have make it until the Mommy unit returns from her business trip. Wish me luck. This is for all the daddies, and father units out there.

Decided to update this post. I was able to get through the day with no issues with the small one. Also managed to get the small one to go to sleep with out issue as well. That is one for the Father Parental Units.

Cheers!

Can you tell me what is like to be happy where you work? Tell me please.

You know I get up everyday as most responsible Adults do and go to a job. However, in my case my job is never 9 to 5. It is continuously demanding more and more time with no compensation outside of the regular salary. I believe today was really one of those days. So overwhelmed that I did not know where to begin. I have actually started to have to keep to do list that seem to get more and more things added before I can finish them. All of this has made me wonder what it would be like to have a job at doing something that you liked or loved? Can you tell me what the felling is like? I would sure like to know because I am not sure I will ever experience that feeling…

No Cheers.

We all need to believe that people are good.

You know, we spend a lot of time focusing on the bad things that happen on a daily basis. Lets face it, we perceive the bad to loom over the daily good that happens to us. I myself am no different. I was just explaining to my wife the current woes that I have at work. She inquired what brought on that exchange, because normally I try not to discuss work at home. However, I had to explain on this occasion that I find myself in a no win situation at work. It is to the point where I find myself dreaming, or should say having a nightmare, about the existing state of things for me at work. That in itself is yet another story.

Why am I telling you all of this? Well, it is to illustrate that the bad that occurs in life usually has a front-row seat in our lives. How often have you found yourself discussing what I would call a “feel good” story of human triumph? Because it is this human triumph and hope that I believe that keeps us going each day. It is knowing that each day we can possibly overcome any obstacles that present themselves to us each and every day. Each day is presented as a challenge, and no goal is too lofty.

Well, I am going to end my post here with an example of what I mean. This is a story about a gentleman who sells mobile phones during the day, and has a dream of singing opera. My human factor wants to believe this gentleman is exactly that…a gentleman. My factor also wants to believe he is a deserving humble individual as well. My human factor wants this gentleman to succeed because I need to believe that I too have a chance to do what I love. To him I say, “Bravo!”

Cheers!
